(a) Develop an Implementation Plan for the ARCH Working Group (2024-2027). (b) On a biennial basis, review and update the joint work plan including goals and agenda for research and application, and activities for technical cooperation and study exchange, training and capacity building, outreach, and dissemination. (c) Identify and catalogue the GAW activities and related products at the health, air pollution, and climate interface across the GAW groups. (d) Identify opportunities and mechanisms to strengthen the exchange, collaboration and network within the research community and related agencies and bodies, including WMO, WHO, UNEP and agencies in regions and country Members, and help coordinate the GAW activities on the health effects with the WMO-WHO Joint Climate and Health Office and the Study Group on Integrated Health Services (HEA-SG) at WMO Service Department (i.e., SERCOM). (e) Working with the various GAW groups identify and recommend research, operational requirements, and capacity needs for the provision of sufficient and relevant data, products, services and capacities for the generation and application of scientific evidence related to atmosphere, climate, weather, pandemic disease, solar UV radiation, and environmental impacts on health. (f) Identify and recommend appropriate technical mechanisms to facilitate the access and use of products for air-climate-health integrated studies and help identify and recommend additional strategic partnerships. (g) Support the development of the global goals and initiatives, verification, and success convention related with the air, climate, and health with cross-cutting perspectives, promote demonstration or pilot showcase activities globally, and ensure its visibility and recognition. (h) Explore the joint activities/initiatives to support the UN Early Warnings for All Initiative. (i) Develop an Air-Climate-Health Thematic Report and/or Perspective Paper based on scoping review, assessment, and scientific insights; (j) Establish an associated WMO ARCH International Coordinate Office at Peking University, China, to support the WMO/GAW Secretariat in coordinating ARCH activities/initiatives and to help facilitate ARCH-related activities.
